Our team worked for three months with Centre In The Square, a 2000 seat entertainment venue in Kitchener to identify cost savings and revenue potential. We were able to identify 6.6 million dollars in additional revenue and costs savings over the next 10 years that is required to help bridge their infrastructure deficit. Analyst, University of Waterloo Student Venture Fund
Ranjini Jha, Finance Professor. University of Waterloo Accounting and Finance,
The University of Waterloo Student Venture Fund was created to allow students to get hands-on training in venture capital investing. Here I was able to hone my skills at determining the difference between a viable business and a viable investment. As an analyst, I worked with a team to provide due diligence for investors, met with founders and subject matter experts, and delivered in-depth presentations on our findings.
Board Member, Print Forward Printing and Imaging
2014 - 2018
Kris Bovay, General Manager, Pacific Bindery Services.
Print Forward is a western Canadian print industry non-profit that worked both provincial as well as nationally. In 2014 I joined an active and involved board during a transitionary time of rebranding and onboarding a new executive director. At a crucially stressful point, I was able to jump in and help out with the design and pre-press of the Industry Magazine, PressLines, to keep it on schedule.
General manager(2016-2018), VP of Sales (2015), Production Manager (2012), Star Press Inc.
Heather Beane, Customer Service Manager, Star Press Inc.
As part of my sales role I successfully onboarded 22 new publishing clients in only 2 weeks after purchasing a competing web printing operation in Saskatoon and moving the work to our shop.
In 2016 I took ownership of the printing operation with 42 employees.
I focused on modernizing business processes including setting up and training staff on a CRM, new customized job database and manufacturing execution system. The data insights from these solutions allowed us to reduce costs yet maintaining delivery times and quality.
During the economic downturn in Alberta and Saskatchewan which resulted in an unplanned 17% revenue drop, I was able to reduce labour and material expenses and reduce waste to run more efficiently and maintain profitability.
Over a six month project, I worked directly with developers and server architects to redesign our legacy MES, CRM and successfully integrate it into our network and processes.
